The CNL library is a reference library. Its books may only be consulted in the reading room.

The use of our library is free of charge. The collections specialize in Luxembourgiana and consist of around 25,000 items, including various archive funds and works on humanities and social sciences, such as history, philosophy, music, literary criticism and various specialized studies.

Reference works (encyclopedias, bibliographies, volumes on national and literary history...), daily and weekly Luxembourg newspapers and magazines as well as a vast collection of Luxembourg and foreign periodicals on literature and history are freely accessible to the visitor.
